Many parents ask us, “I’d love for my child to try casting, but I’m not sure they can do it.” The most important thing about starting out in the entertainment industry isn’t just good looks — it’s “the child’s own inner happiness and readiness.” Today Gamdang shares 3 simple checklists for parents to observe and start practising with your child at home 🤍
3 signs of readiness you can build at home
1. Your child clearly shows they “enjoy it and have fun”
Notice when your child watches commercials, sees other kids on TV, or gets to dress up nicely for photos — if their eyes light up and they want to try it themselves, that’s the best sign of all. Especially when it builds on confidence techniques that start with fun at home, your child won’t feel that “work” is something forced on them.
2. They have “confidence in eye contact” (The Power of Eye Contact)
Children who are ready to learn new things tend to make eye contact with adults and chat naturally with strangers. If your child is still fearful, you can start training through fun activities such as the “whoever looks away first loses” game, to ease nervousness when facing the camera lens or the panel at a casting.
3. Flexibility and adaptability
Work on set requires patience and adapting to new environments. If your child can begin to manage their emotions and enjoy challenging situations, that first step into the industry won’t be hard at all.
Because a steady first step always begins with understanding and love from the family 🎬💖
